1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Oraweave ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Oraweave is a memory capture and storytelling application that allows you to record memories through voice and text, collaborate with others, and generate AI-powered narratives from your experiences.
3. Account Registration
To use the Service, you must create an account using Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activities that occur under it. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
4. Your Content
Ownership
You retain ownership of all content you create using the Service, including memories, photos, recordings, and narratives. We do not claim ownership of your content.
License to Us
By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide the Service. This includes sending your content to AI services for narrative generation.
Content Guidelines
You agree not to use the Service to create, store, or share content that:
- Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or harassing
- Infringes on intellectual property rights of others
- Contains malware or other harmful code
- Violates the privacy of others without consent
- Is deceptive or fraudulent
5. AI-Generated Content
The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate narratives from your memories. AI-generated content may not be perfectly accurate. You are responsible for reviewing and editing generated narratives before sharing them.
We use Anthropic's Claude AI for narrative generation. Your use of AI features is also subject to Anthropic's terms of service.
6. Sharing and Collaboration
When you share events with others, they will be able to view your content and add their own memories. You are responsible for only sharing with people you trust. Shared content may be visible to all collaborators on that event.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Use automated means to access the Service without permission
- Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
8. Service Availability
We strive to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, you may lose access to your content, so we recommend exporting your data regularly.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.
12. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms and changing the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
