Questions people ask
Is this only for big occasions?
No, and the small ones are the ones nobody else is recording. A wedding gets photographed by everybody; an ordinary Tuesday, a drive home, a meal that turned into an argument get nothing. Those make good stories too.
How long does one story take?
A few minutes is enough — talk, type, or just share a few photos, and the interviewer takes it from there with follow-up questions for as long as you want to keep going. The story itself is written in about a minute. You can also leave and come back: an Oraweave stays open even after a story has been generated, so you can keep adding memories and generate it again.
Do the people I invite need the app?
No. A share link opens in any browser, and they can read or add memories there. The iPhone app is the fuller experience, and the easiest way to capture a memory the moment you think of it.
Where do I subscribe?
In the iPhone app, through your App Store account — so there is no separate billing to set up and nothing new to cancel.
Does adding to someone else's story count against my three?
No. Contributing to an Oraweave you have been invited to is always free, however many you join. The limit only applies to stories you start yourself.
What if it gets something wrong?
You fix it. As the story's owner you can correct the text directly, or add what was missing and have it rewritten. Every version is kept, so nothing is lost by trying again.
Who can see my stories?
Only you, until you share one. When you do, you name the people and choose per person whether they can read it or add to it. There is no public feed and nothing is shared by default.
Can I post a story on social media?
You are free to post the link anywhere. Anyone who follows it has to sign in to Oraweave to read the story, so you always know exactly who has access — and you can revoke it at any time.
